Michael Gallin

Michael Gallin graduated with honors from UCLA with a B.A. in African American Studies and concentration in Political Science. During his time at UCLA, he worked to increase diversity in admissions in his work as a member of UCLA’s Academic Senate Committee on Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools, and Access Coordinator for the Afrikan Student Union. Michael also co-founded the Diversity Dialogue Institute which aimed to initiate dialogue between students of different ethnicities, race and sexual orientations.

After his B.A., Michael was a fellow with The Greenlining Institute, a multi-ethnic research, public policy and advocacy organization focused on ensuring that diverse communities have access to the American Dream. He currently works for the West Angeles Community Development Corporation on many initiatives aimed at increasing social and economic justice, demonstrating compassion and alleviating poverty for Los Angeles residents.
